DJI Flip supports automatic powering on when the arms are unfolded. The drone will automatically power on after the user unfolds either of the rear arms. When unfolded, the drone will also automatically power on after replacing the battery, allowing users to quickly resume flight. If the drone is not undergoing operations such as firmware updates, playback, or downloading*, folding both rear arms will trigger an automatic shutdown countdown. During the countdown, users can press any button on the aircraft to cancel the shutdown.
The above two functions can be disabled in the app's settings page when the drone is connected to the remote controller**. Once disabled, the drone will no longer automatically power on when the arms are unfolded or automatically power off when the arms are folded.
